Leeds United to rival Wolves for Emmanuel Dennis?

Leeds United are reportedly considering the idea of joining the chase for Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis ahead of the summer transfer window.

Dennis was said to have caught the attention of Premier League clubs following his time performances in the UEFA Champions League, which included scoring a brace against Real Madrid in the group stage.

Arsenal, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are a number of the English top-flight clubs who have expressed interest in the Nigerian.

According to reports from Het Laaste Niuews, the forward is said to uncompromising about leaving the Belgian outfit this summer ahead of next as he has his eyes set on a new challenge at the higher level.

The 22-year-old is valued at £22 million, and Marcelo Bielsa’s side and Wolves are believed to be keeping an eye on his current situation in a bid to approach him in the summer.

However, according to Voetbalkrant, Leeds have emerged as the leading candidate for the player’s signature ahead of Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

The youngster has missed a number of pre-season engagements during the summer, and though have been concerns of a potential ankle injury but his future at the club is still yet to be settled .

Philippe Clement, who is in charge of the managerial role at Brugge admitted back in May that the Nigerian forward is very likely to leave the club in the summer.

The Peacocks are expected be make additions to their squad after securing promotion back to the Premier League and have already made Illan Meslier’s deal at Elland Road a permanent one.

Dennis has two-years left on his current deal with his Belgian club and the latter could be prepared to cash in on the attacker, who can play as a centre-forward or a right winger.

In the 2019/20 season, the forward has scored nine goals and assisted two times in 33 appearances across all competitions for Clement’s team.
