Robin Koch reportedly appears to be on the verge of joining Eintracht Frankfurt, and there are suggestions that he has agreed to personal terms with the Bundesliga club.

Koch’s anticipated move back to Germany aligns with his past success in the Bundesliga complemented by his ambition to earn a recall to the national team ahead of the European Championships.

Koch has garnered interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt owing to his adaptability playing in a high line and his previous experience as a midfielder. Initial reports indicated a potential free transfer, but it now appears that Leeds will receive a fee for his services in the upcoming 2023/2024 season. With one year remaining on his contract, Koch could be loaned out this season before joining Frankfurt on a free transfer next year.

Returning to Germany may provide Koch with an environment where he can flourish. He faced challenges adapting to the pace of the Premier League and often relied on a leader alongside him. The Bundesliga’s slower tempo and varying standard could offer him a more suitable platform to showcase his abilities and potentially earn a place in the German national team.

Straight from Leeds POV; another loss. It’s irradiating to look at players going off for a lower fee and that complemented by him going off for a free. Seriously hope there is a plan and a road to take us back to the Premier League soon…
