Jesse Marsch, the head coach of Leeds United, paid a visit to the San Francisco 49ers’ minicamp this week, ahead of a busy summer at Elland Road. Marsch was in Leeds on Wednesday to greet Rasmus Kristensen after his £10 million signing from RB Salzburg, and now appears to be back in the United States before a hectic pre-season.
On Friday, the NFL team’s official Twitter account shared a video of the Whites boss speaking with a number of 49ers personnel, including general manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan, defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, and veteran kicker Robbie Gould. Marsch is well-known for incorporating features from various sports into his coaching and will not likely have picked up knowledge from the coaching staff throughout the day.
The NFL team’s parent company, 49ers Enterprises, holds a 44 percent ownership in Leeds United, alongside Andrea Radrizzani’s 56 percent, while Paraag Marathe sits on the club’s board of directors.
Marching on together.
Great to have @jessemarsch representing @LUFC at our recent minicamp.

Jesse Marsch will certainly return to West Yorkshire shortly, hopefully, to pose for more photos with new signings. Leeds will resume preseason training soon ahead of their journey to Australia, with the opening match against Brisbane Roar on Thursday, July 14.
A complete preseason should allow the Whites’ manager enough time to adopt his system, and it’s possible that some of the suggestions provided during the trip to San Francisco may be put into effect.
Leeds United would want to better their last season’s performance in the Premier League and finish higher up the table in Marsch’s first full season in England. The American’s style of play was evident on the pitch in the final 3 months of the season and the pre-season in Australia could help the team incorporate his tactics even better.
