Leeds United are reportedly interested in acquiring Emmanuel Dennis during the summer transfer window.

According to reports by The Athletic, Dennis is likely to leave Nottingham Forest this summer – making him available for potential suitors. Leeds United following the relegation need to aim to return to the Premier League as soon as possible and sees bolstering their attack as a key strategy in achieving this goal.

Although Dennis had limited opportunities at Nottingham Forest under manager Steve Cooper, he has shown his quality in previous seasons. During the 2021/22 season, while playing for Watford, he scored 10 goals in 33 Premier League appearances showcasing his potential as a top-class striker – in fact, that did gain him links to some of the bigger clubs in Europe.

Moving to Leeds in the Championship could provide Dennis with the platform to regain his form and excel once again. If he can contribute to the team’s promotion back to the Premier League, it would further demonstrate his value at the highest level.

Leeds United recognizes the need to strengthen their attacking options, and securing the services of Dennis could be a promising start to their transfer activities.

According to assertions made, despite Leeds’ intention to retain Patrick Bamford within their ranks, his subpar injury history and inconsistent performance in scoring goals have prompted the South Yorkshire team to explore alternative possibilities.

Bamford’s performances were hindered by injuries last season causing him to be absent for ten games. Furthermore, throughout the 28 games he participated in, he was only able to score four goals. Notably, during a crucial period in the relegation battle, he failed to convert some significant opportunities, such as the chance to secure victory against Leicester City from within the six-yard box.

The club faces a challenging season ahead as they seek an immediate return to the top flight, but adding a talented forward like Dennis could significantly enhance such chances.
