Leeds United are looking to make attacking additions into their squad before the start of the new season and according to Sports Journalist Mohamed Toubache- Ter, the Whites are now in talks with the Ligue 1 side Metz to sign Farid Boulaya.
The Algerian international has caught a lot of eyes around Europe after a good outing last season. The attacking midfielder featured in 33 Ligue 1 games and scored 6 goals while he also provided 8 assists. He produced brilliant performances despite the absence of quality on the side which makes him and his performances look even better.
After gaining a lot of interest since the end of the season, Farid has reportedly refused to sign a new contract at Metz in search of better opportunities in Europe. His primary goal is to play European Football. The 28-year-old is entering into his final year of the contract and the French club wishes not to take any risk of losing him for free in the next summer. While the value of Farid is already low due to him entering into his last year of the contract, Mitz are looking to quickly cash in on him.
According to a report, clubs from Spain and Italy are strongly tracking him while as of now only Leeds United are looking at him from the Premier League. Farid Boulaya is currently valued at £4 million which is very affordable to many clubs in view to the talent, skills, and experience he poses. The dirt-cheap price tag is attracting a lot of interest lately.
Even though the Algerian International is looking to move to a club having European football, it seems like Leeds United might still be a likely destination for him since not many clubs that play European football have generated interest in him. Leeds United are looking very interested in Farid Boulaya and they want to move quickly before many clubs rope in.
