Marcelo Bielsa wants to desperately add a midfielder to his team before entering into the new Premier League season that is going to start from Friday.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Leeds United are busy plotting a move for the Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic.
Sasa Lukic joined Torino from Partizan in 2016. He has made 106 appearances so far for the senior team. Lukic is good on the ball, quick, and a technical player. Though he usually plays as an attacking midfielder, he can also play in the more central part of the field. His abilities in the attacking part and defensive part make him versatile in the heart of the field.
The Serbian international has been an integral part of the team recently making 32 appearances for Torino in Serie A last season.
Though many clubs have already approached Torino for a deal, the Italian club has been reluctant to sell Sasa Lukic. But things could change rapidly as the financial situation at Torino is getting a lot worse, they need to sell some players in order to balance the books.
Andrea Belotti is a name that has been constantly linked with a move away from Torino. But selling just one player would not make much difference, the club has to sell another player and many believe that it could be Sasa Lukic who will be sold next. In anticipation, Leeds United has decided to move for him as the manager looks to add more depth to the squad.
According to the Sun, the Torino youngster is available for as cheap as £8.5 million. Leeds United wants to sign him but they face tough competition from Spartak Moscow who are already in constant talks with the player’s representatives.
