Leeds United have done a brilliant set of transfer business this summer. They have already completed seven signings this summer. The latest signing was Leo Hjelde from Celtic just a few days back.
However, the Whites are nearing completing another brilliant transfer. According to a report from The Guardian, Leeds United are already in talks with Manchester United for a deal regarding Daniel James.
The report suggests that a deal is nearing completion after both the clubs are very close to agreeing to the fees. Manchester United wants around £24 million for the Welsh International. Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is a huge admirer of the young footballer.
Leeds United have been tracking Daniel James for a very long time. In fact, they were close to bringing him on loan from Swansea City in the January window of 2019. However, Swansea pulled the plug at the very last minute of the window. Later on, in the summer Daniel went on to sign for Manchester United. He was brought in for just £15 million.
The winger has so far made around 74 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions but managed to score only nine goals so far. Daniel James has already featured in two Premier League games this season and in fact, he even started for Manchester United in their 1-0 win over Wolves on Sunday.
But with Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo arriving at Old Trafford this summer, the youngster has gone further down the pecking order. It is quite hard that he would get any chance ahead of them. Hence Manchester United and Daniel James are looking to part their ways in the next hours.
If everything goes well, then Daniel James would be playing for Leeds United from here on in the Premier League. He could also be in contention for the next game that is going to be played against Liverpool on Sunday, September 12th.
