This weekend match between Leeds United and Burnley will be an intriguing match of attack vs defense, and free flowing/passing vs counter attack/set pieces.
Leeds United recent games have been hampered due to injuries to key players in the team. The return of Kalvin Phillips to the midfield hasn’t been enough to cover up the lapses in the defense. Though, they might welcome Diego Llorente back to the team.
The Whites will still be missing the services of Gaetano Berardi, Adam Forshaw and Robin Koch through injury, while Liam Cooper, who had to be substituted against Manchester United last weekend due to a stomach issue, has been ruled out of the contest at Elland Road.
Diego Llorente’s availability might see him being thrust into the central defense to pair Luke Ayling, as Liam Cooper has been ruled out of this weekend’s match.
There should not be any surprises in the midfield to attack as most of the first team regulars are expected to start the game.
Burnley also have injury worries of their own going into this match. Sean Dyche will be hoping that Robbie Brady and McNeil can shake off the injuries picked up against Wolves to feature against Leeds.
Sean Dyche is a seasoned and experienced coach who can overcome the injury worries in his team to get at least a point in the game.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jack Cork are out of this game, and Vydra is a doubt as he’s struggling with back problem.
